First Time Central Heating Grant?
First-time central heating is part of the ECO4 scheme and is a great way to get a FREE central heating system, including a new boiler, pipework, radiators, TRVs, and room thermostat along with other energy-efficient home improvements. This grant is designed to help people who live in low-energy properties get the heating they need. It’s part of the ECO4 scheme, which aims to reduce fuel poverty and increase energy efficiency. By installing a new central heating system, you’ll save money on your energy bills, and will be more comfortable in your home.
Eligible Heating Types:
If you are using one of the following heating systems then you are eligible for Free first-time central heating.
- Gas fire and warm air heating system
- Electric room and inefficient storage heaters
- Gas room heaters; including fixed mains gas room heaters
- Solid fossil fuel room heaters
ECO4 Grant Qualifying Benefits
The applicant must be a homeowner OR lives with a homeowner at the same address and must receive at least one of the following benefits.
- Child Tax Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Universal Credit
- Housing Benefit
- Income Support
- Pension Credit
- Guarantee Credit
- Pension Credit Saving Credit
- Income Based Jobseekers Allowance
- Income Related Employment and Support Allowance
- Child Benefits (Subject to income threshold)
